Frozen banana pops
There are four excellent things about this quick and easy little recipe:
- It’s quick and easy.
- It’s a great way to eat a banana.
- It’s delicious on a hot day.
- There are only 3 ingredients: semisweet chocolate chips, bananas, and toasted almonds.
Melt 12 ounces of semisweet chocolate over a double boiler or glass dish on a pot, like this:
Don’t let the water come above a simmer or you’ll scorch your chocolate. Once it melts, stir it up and remove from the burner, and start dipping your 2 bananas — sliced into 1/2 inch pieces — into the chocolate.
Sprinkle the slices with toasted chopped almonds and then lay on wax paper on a baking sheet.
When you’re done, stick them in the freezer to set for 20 minutes, then remove and put them in a tupperware container to store in the freezer.
But you should probably just eat them all, like we did.
